Cross-posts have been a thing since forever. It's how my posting tool makes the same post to multiple communities sometimes.
Did the app you're using just get support for them? Thunder has had it for a while now.
What new cross post feature? It's posted so I guess it worked.
If you're using a browser it'll look like two squares. I'm using Voyager app and it's in the "..." menu literally called "crosspost".
Oh, neat. That's new? I assumed it was always there.
